Apparently there are different types of “hi hat” light fixtures. Mine did not have the little tabs that actually hold the springs of these replacement light. We have just added an addition to the back of our house and all of the new light fixtures are 6″ downlight cans so I need to buy 36 lights to populate these cans. Most will be controlled by dimmers (Lutron Maestro MSCL-OP153M) so my thought is to buy the brightest lights available, within reason, because we can control the brightness with the dimmers with some reserve brightness when needed.
