Super bright for small wattage. Great seller! Extremely bright for the small size and wattage. If you need an area brightened up, this is the bulb you need. Fits regular bulb socket, but bulb stem is not long enough to reach into outdoor weatherproof sockets, but will probably go into most indoor sockets or even lamp sockets. I have not tried yet, but it would probably work great in a lamp socket and would definitely light up a room, and a lamp shade would diffuse all the brightness and glare. I will be trying that next. Fine for utility room I put this in a 12×12 utility room which has a ceramic socket on the unfinished ceiling. The light is plastic and smaller than I thought, but it won’t shatter like a glass bulb would if it gets bumped. The square shape makes it look less like a bare light bulb hanging from the ceiling. It’s not as bright as I hoped, but chose the lower wattage unit purposly. It’s adequate light for the limited use the room gets, but next time I would buy the next wattage up.
