Nice visual impact when replacing old age-yellowed trim. This are easy to install, and bright white. I utilized 5 of these to help with a refresh of my kitchen. The old trim pieces had turned yellow with age, and were contributing to the dated look in the kitchen. Swapping out the old trim was very easy and took things from a pronounced yellowed look to something that blends in nicely with the white ceilings and, to the extent they attract attention (not nearly as much as the yellowed ones), they given a rather crisp and clean appearance…
Generally good quality, just would have preferred if it was all metal and had three or four springs. Baffle is metal (don’t know if steel, aluminum, or both), ring is definitely plastic–it even says as much on the side of the box.Foam is cheap open cell stuff. Easily deformed, so it often doesn’t sit perfectly in the ring. As long as you get it close, it generally slips into place if you turn the ring back and forth a bit (may have to pull the baffle down a little to reduce the pressure against the ring).Only two springs to hold it in place, and they were a bit long…
