Good unit – quiet – mounting hardware is crappy – use your own screws. It’s nice and wide – moves good air. Remote functions fine – all modes working. If you are replacing an existing fan – and it had a variable wall-mounted speed control – take it out and replace with a simple flip switch (on/off). Also – if mounting into wood – USE YOUR OWN SCREWS to mount this. Both of the wood screws sheared off half way in to the wood (they are junk) – it was a major pain to dismount (26 feet up) – remove the broken off screws w/vice grips – and remount with my own screws…
Really love this fan. This put out so much more air than my previous 52″ fan. What’s even better is the thing is amazingly quiet even on the highest setting. I’d dare say its completely silent. The remote and the fan paired up on the first try and also maintained pairing after the electricity was removed for 15 minutes at the breaker. Once installed, you could even consider eliminating the power switch from the wall (just wire nut the wires together so its permanently powered. The remote does everything you…
