Great Style… Easy Installation… Terrific Quiet Operation. The fan is great. Not crazy about the light fixture, glass fixture, or bulbs that come with. There are two bulbs underneath that glass center. The bulbs cast soft light (yellow light), so I changed them out to daylight LED bulbs. The light is not spread evenly because the multiple sockets inside sort of block the light inside the glass fixture. The glass fixture stuck on the fan (somehow got wedged where it will not un-screw now). It is entirely possible that was my fault. I called customer…
Hmmmmm! UPDATE#2: After emailing Westinghouse and explaining my issues, they’re sending a replacement. (it’s actually running now, but doesn’t sound quite right, a slight scraping sound on medium and high speeds) It was all taken care of in 2 emails. (the first asked for pertinent information, invoice, model number, etc.) VERY Satisfied with the customer service. Of the four ceiling fans in my home, this is my favorite and most used, so I’m glad that I’m able to replace it. I would give it 5 stars if…
I like this fan…….looks good. Now the gotcha. It works flawlessly, is quiet, has a neat remote, it also stinks. Not an electrical, fixing to Burn your house down kind of smell, but an odor produced by something overheating. I think the problem emanates from the bulbs in the fixture. I cannot place my hand on that globe with the light on the fullest setting. I have taken to dimming the light and that helps considerably, except for keeping my kitchen dimly lit. I have seen this stated before…
