The sound rendering is excellent and extremely true to what is actually being recorded … Firstly, buyers need to understand that these are NOT normal consumer headphones for tv, movies, or music. These are for monitoring audio EXACTLY as it sounds as it enters an audio recording device or mixing board. I bought these as studio monitoring headphones to use with my linear PCM recorder (a Tascam dr-05) connected to a boom pole setup (an XLR shotgun microphone, mounted on a pole, that feeds into the recorder with a regular mini jack). It’s Alright! These headphones are pretty good, in that they are inexpensive, sound adequate (very mid-heavy with a little boom), and have a threaded 1/4 adapter (big plus).For the layman who wants to listen to and/or do random things on a computer or other devices for $10, these will work perfectly. You might not believe that this headphone’s sound quality is as good as Beat Solo 2’s I bought this Behringer HPM1000 Headphone for my keyboard. I mainly use my Beat Solo 2 for listening to music. Today, just for fun, I compared the sound quality between the two headphone, and noticed, to my surprise, that Behringer HPM1000, which is only around 10 bucks, sounds as crisp, clear, and detailed as Beat Solo 2, for which I paid more than $200.
