Not a very well designed fixture I was disappointed in the design of this fixture. I’ve been installing light fixtures as an electrician for over 30 years and it never ceases to amaze me how short-sighted engineers can be. If you are going to be using a cut-in or remodel box to install this fixture, you’re going to have a hard time getting the perimeter to sit flush against the ceiling with the hardware provided. This is due to the top lip or rim of the fixture being too short and giving you less than zero clearance between…
You might need a mounting adapter. The lighting element, itself, would get 5 stars, but the mounting mechanism brings it down to 3. The screw holes weren’t anywhere close to what my old fixture (and the junction box in the ceiling) called for. I had to get an adapter ring at the hardware store to securely/safely mount the light.
