Just what we were looking for. Small footprint both in diameter and depth/height. Replaced a light that was about 7 inches tall in a hallway leading down to our basement. Due to the stairs and the height of the ceiling, we were constantly hitting that light when carrying large items. This light solves that problem perfectly. LED rather than fluorescent as well and matches color of a another light at the base of the stairs. Only been in place for a week or so. Cannot speak to long term…
The good point is that it is easy to install because there is no fiberglass insulation needed on the back due to the low heat of LED lights. This means that its easy to put the screws through the hole on the back. The light is very powerful and probably should be on a dimmer if its for a bedroom or hallway. The negative point is that the plastic falls out. The color of the light is warm which is good for a bedroom or hallway.Basically, I can’t use it because the plastic seems to…
