Dying Light is a first person, action survival horror game set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown. A pleasant surprise Being surprised by an excellent video game is a rare pleasure for a gamer in this age of information, and that’s exactly what happened to me with Dying Light. I did NOT enjoy Dead Island at all, and pretty much disregarded the news of Dying Light’s release all together. When I had seen previews it looked very impressive. I held off because of the reviews. This game ended up being one of my favorite open world games. Just be aware that it doesnt start off great.
