Read the instructions I bought this fan with the 31″ blades, and was a bit surprised to end up with a 6′ fan. (It wasn’t clear from the description that one needs to add 10″ to the span of the blades.) That’s bigger than some aircraft propellers, and more than big enough to get your attention in any room smaller than a gymnasium. Great fan This is a really nice fan. It’s a bit pricey, but I’d say worth the cost, as it will be a long-term commitment! Purchased for a new great room addition with 15 degree vaulted ceiling. It did not need the ceiling adapter. I did not purchase the light kit, as it was unnecessary. Also did not purchase the optional remote, as the wall control is fine for my needs (although at this price, the remote should be included).
