I bought a fan with a circle line flourescent lamp which produces much better and even illumination for room than the usual 3 or 4 individual bulbs or the single halogen, and it had a shade like this one. However the Achilles heal of this design is when you change bulbs it rests on the connection of two lengths of the chain while you are replacing the bulb. The chain broke and so did the shade.
