High quality and easy to install I bought this to go with an Emerson loft fan, which I purchased from a place other than amazon.com.The remote is very easy to install. It wires inline with the incoming power lines (between your home wiring and the fan’s wiring) and fits neatly into the bracket that hangs the fan. Did what I needed. A bit big on the receiver side but overall a win Worked with our Emerson fan quite nicely. I put two controllers into two fans and control them together. I was going to control them separately but changed my mind. They are capable of that but you need to power down one unit while you register the other unit.I really like that the remote buttons are not toggles (on/off) but single function buttons because occasionally you will hit speed X and only one fan gets the command. Very convenient! We purchased this remote for the 52-inch Emerson fan in our three-season room. The room does get temperature and humidity swings, but it is screened in and has vinyl windows that can open and close, so although the fan and this remote control are exposed to humidity, they don’t get direct water exposure.We love having this remote so we can change the fan’s speed from our chairs (heaven forbid we should have to get up and walk a few steps, right?).
