The shades are plastic…and it shows I guess it is not quite what I had expected. I bought one of these kits years ago to update a ceiling fan and loved it. I bought this version to bring more light into the kid’s room and was surprised to see what was provided as a shade:”Shatter Resistant Shades” = PlasticIt looks fine for the playroom and works with the Harper 2 fan from the same manufacturer, but I would not put it in any other rooms.On the plus side, it was easy to install in…
