calculate cos for angle and then compared to length of blades to verify it was indeed the right length–but my know-it-all girlfriend just used the steel tape measure to measure down 24 inches from the fan mount and figured it out in like 3 seconds This extender fit my Hunter fan perfectly and even matched the color. I have a rather steeply-pitched ceiling so I wasn’t sure if it would be long enough/too short. I spend about 4 minutes measuring and calculating the heights of the walls, the hypotenuse length of the ceiling, calculate cos for angle and then compared to length of blades to verify it was indeed the right length–but my know-it-all girlfriend just used the steel tape measure to measure down 24 inches from the fan mount and…
