It works but is extremely lightweight / flimsy – very prone to distortion ! When I turned it on to test it without the diffuser I was very impressed. It was incredibly bright. But the opaque diffuser knocked the light way, way back. It is still OK compared to the mini fluorescent it replaced – but not great and no way does it appear to throw the equivalent light of a 200W incandescent. I got two of these for my Kitchen:Hykolity 10 Inch Dimmable LED Ceiling Light, 17W 1100lm 4000K Oil Rubbed Bronze for $27Hykolity 16 Inch Dimmable LED Ceiling Light, 25W 1600lm 4000K Oil Rubbed Bronze for $50These are very bright. The 16in is much brighter that the 2x 60w CFL I replaced.It comes with everything you need to install.They are supposedly dimmable, so the next step is to install a couple smart, dimmable switches.I am very happy with these…
