So bright!! These lights are much brighter than the traditional recessed lights (see the difference in picture). This is mainly due to the fact that the light surface is almost flat with the ceiling, rather than recessed in the trim as traditional recessed lights.Instead of an 80 degree light cone, this one is probably 150 degrees. I have recessed lights throughout my basement (38 lights) and they were all black cans with dim yellow bulbs.
