Decent Value Meets Expectation The shade component is really frosted glass; I’m not sure why the adjective “opal” was used for the description verbiage, unless as a fanciful stretch of fact. The light bulb sockets are standard base. There is a fire hazard warning NOT to use incandescent bulbs. 13 Watt compact fluorescent bulbs are what the warning recommends. I plan to use LED bulbs.
