Run 24 hours straight to get rid of hum I wanted to write this review to address the hum that many people are complaining about. The reviews made me question purchasing this fan. Once installed and I turned on, I really started to regret it. VERY PLEASED! Beautiful, quiet and powerful! VERY happy with this fan. Installed two! Used short downrod. The LED light is dimmable, and moves smoothly through its levels of brightness, and is quite bright on high. Moves a lot of air and is seriously nearky SILENT on high speed! Ideal for bedrooms. Direction is reversible and I also installed a wall switch that works remotely with the fan for all functions (sold by Minka-Aire separately, but I included a photo in case you’re considering it too) I lose remotes, but I won’t forget where…
Harsh white light, buzzing noises, fake wood Fan might look pretty from a distance but I tried it in a room with normal ceiling height and hated it. First, it made a loud buzzing noise that did NOT go away after 24 hours running it. Second, the light has a harsh white quality almost like the spotlight of a police interrogation.
