Worthy upgrade to previous Nuheat controller – but THE COST?! This “new” controller for all Nuheat electric floor heat mat installs is considerably better than the previous one and looks nicer, to boot. Over 5 years we had replaced each of our two older generation controllers for the same problem – failed AC-DC transformer; one failed partially (blinking controller display) and one simply rolled over and died. our old stat went bad and bought this unit as the replacement After 9 years, our old stat went bad and bought this unit as the replacement.Was very simple to install — just had to migrate wires from the old stat to the new, matching the color codes.And the new stat has much better wire management as it replaced the pig-tail connectors found on the original unit (which took up a LOT of space in the box) to a mounting screw system. Good, but room for improvement First off, this unit does its job well. I have it installed on a 240 volt Ditra Heat cable and sensor probe, it has been working fine for three months. Scheduling and preheat work fine. It’s a good product that will work as advertised.I do have some criticism, and it is primarily around the screen. It suffers tremendously from burn-in. I’m not sure how people use the device with the screensaver enabled, which is a shame because many of us upgraded to this for the color screen, which…
