You MUST know this before buying these track lights This is a fantastic track light for the price, but you’ve got to know a few things going in. Here they are1) This track comes with an endplate/cover for a ceiling box. Installation of the actual tracks is pretty easy. Choice of screws (directly into wood) The actual kit comes ready to install in a ceiling electrical box. Instruction are NOT included if you do not want to install in the ceidling box. If you want to install without the ceiling box, you must purchase the SATCO “Live End Cord Kit” (item number TP156 (white) or TP157 (black).
