Please read if new to Hue lighting – great product but understand what to expect with Hue I just purchased my second color bulb. Also have two white ambiance in the bedroom and two white lights in the TV room. First, you have to buy a Hue Bridge to get these to work. The Bridge is a one time purchase that will support up to 50 lights. Second these are expensive but giving the product a bad review because of the price is ridiculous as is giving a bad review because a Bridge is required. Very glad I did I started out with just wanting to have an IKEA tower light able to be dimmed and then decided to fill it with colored lights. Very glad I did. It soon became a bit of an obsession, where now every light in my apartment is Hue, which is over 50 lights. For my bathroom and office, I didn’t go with colored bulbs. Expensive……and sooooo worth it. I waited on these since they were released. I couldnât see why I would want to buy them at all. Until, I got a white one with an Amazon Echo package deal…..The new Echo can serve as a hub……and control these bulbs……a little. I read that the Hue hub did more……and the package for four of these bulbs and a hub was on sale.Iâm now amassing bulbs. Iâm embarrassed at how much money I have spent lighting my home. It makes zero economic sense…
