Low cost, good looks, great quality Installation was quick and easy. The quality seems to be very good- better than I expected, really, considering the low cost. The blades are reversible with a true black on one side and a brown-black wood grain on the other. This thing moves a lot of air! I was looking for a low profile, low cost fan to replace a hideous old brass and brown fan in the house that I am renting. The only deficiency so far is in the included bulb. Easy install, great fan. I actually ordered four of these, based on look and price. The downstairs half of my home has only 7 foot ceilings, and previous owners installed some fans with down-rods and all with exposed lights. I hate exposed lights, and at 5’11”, down-rods do not work for me on low ceilings. I’d resigned myself to the belief that my head would always hit the light fixtures on a ceiling fan, as there needs to be room for the motor, etc, but I can walk under these!
