Well this comes from China apparently, and it was not compatible with American electrical parts. It had to be completely reassembled and rebuilt to make it work at all. Luckily, some guy who runs a hardware store was able to sift through numerous old boxes of odd and outdated parts to finally find something that could be modified to make it work.
