This understated style of Quoizel Griffin lighting collection provides a stylish, soft modern look for most any room. The etched shade is painted white inside, diffusing the light evenly and illuminating your home with a soothing glow, and it’s held in place by softly curved arms. This version (model GF1717AN) has an antique nickel finish, and it also comes in polished chrome and palladian bronze.
The Griffin measures 17 inches in diameter and 12 inches high, and its shade measures 14 x 4 inches. The flush mount light uses three A19 medium base bulbs (100 watts maximum; 23-watt maximum for CFLs). Bulbs are sold separately.

Quality fixture at a great price… Beautiful light; it replaced a flush-mount fabric shade light that directed all the light to my dark-wood floors. I wanted to reflect light off the white ceiling and crown molding. I’ve owned Quoizel fixtures before and was pleased to see the same quality and well-composed instructions. This piece is not easy to install solo, however. The glass bowl isn’t easily removed and re-attached, but you can replace bulbs and/or clean the glass without ever removing it. Lots of pleasant light. Good looking. Pretty simple installation. We installed this over the table in our kitchen. It puts out a lot of light (we have four 9-watt LED bulbs in it for a total of about 3200 lumens). The glass shade is translucent, but the shade is also about 10″ from the ceiling so an equal amount of light goes up and bounces off the ceiling.
