Plastic not glass; badly aimed bulbs The lamp shade is heavy plastic, not glass as stated. At least it’s a good imitation and much lighter weight than glass. However, the faux “lead” between the panes varies in width and shows skips, because it’s just rubbery caulk, unevenly applied. Regarding installation, the top chain link has to be pried open to hook into the ceiling eyelet and was impossible for us to bend all the way closed, even with two pairs of pliers. Beautiful lamp When the lamp is illuminated, there are so many more nuances of color in the panes than the picture indicates. Assembly was straightforward. I would recommend wiping the shade with glass cleaner before assembling it — there’s an oily residue that has a petroleum-like odor that’s on the shade. There’s a faint oily smell at first but now I don’t smell it anymore. The level of light isn’t really that bright — bright enough to do some bedside reading (which is why I bought a pair of them to…
