I wanted to install an LED downlight in an area of my basement that had drywall ceiling but was not excited about having to cut the ceiling and install a traditional “can type” recessed lighting. I used these to replace two pendant lights over our island. It was so easy to install. Just had to cut the drywall into a 6″ hole, connect the electrical wires, and pop into the holes using the springs. The lights are so light weight that they can just on drywall and don’t need to be screwed to the wood.
