I have this hanging in the foyer of our home. It is not flat black, but close enough to not matter as long as it is not next to a black item.As sent originally, this hangs much to low to work on a nine foot ceiling other than for a dining table chandelier. I ended up needing to remove the chain and downrod, and hang the light ‘cube’ from one chainlink from the plate. This required re-drilling some metal and JB Welding some pieces together. Not the fault of the manufacturer, but…
