Convenient Shopping for a new fan with remote control – had no idea one could get a nice remote kit for this price and just update the old fan! Plenty of room for the receiver in my hugger configuration (no downrod), and 5 easy wire-nut connections. You must leave the wall switch on all the time (no juice is drawn unless you turn the remote on), but other than that there are no drawbacks whatever.
