At least two people are required to a) keep the receiver in place inside the fan, b) stuff the wires with wire nuts inside the canopy but out of the way, and c) hold the fan in place while the screws are installed. As others have said, this can be a bit of a bear trying to get installed. I installed three of them into flush-mount style fans (meaning they had the larger canopy at the ceiling). I’d imagine trying to get one of these into one of the drop-rod style small canopy fans would be an exercise in frustration. Based on my own experience, it would make things go a little easier if the manufacturer made the wire leads about two inches longer; I often found myself having to really work at maneuvering…
